Aloha,
Have a few questions for all of you.
1) What kind of songs do you want Herb Ohta, Jr. to record next to start of his next 20 years? All Hawaiian? A mix of Contemporary and Hawaiian? All Contemporary?
2) What do you all think about a recording with his father Ohta-san instead of another solo release?
3) What about a compilation of Hawaiian Slack-key, ‘ukulele, and vocals from different artists honoring Hawaiian musicians of the past that have inspired the musicians of today?
Looking forward to hearing from all of you.
Aloha,

1) no contemporary, yes Hawaiian
Suggestion: ‘Ukulele Paniolo….all ‘ukulele fast-paced Hawaiian paniolo music…yodel with that uke Herb! I mean it…do all the yodeling parts with the uke. Stand on it braddah….fast and loud, just don’t let your dad hear it. Get up out of that *&%$* chair and shine! Sing too.
2) yes, have him take lead in a verse and you the next sometime so we can hear the contrasts of styles.
3) yes, have Jesse Jr. do some bass
