Aloha,

Congratulations to Herb Ohta, Jr. for winning ‘Ukulele Album of the Year from the Hawai’i Music Awards for his recording, ‘Ukulele Nahenahe and also the Hoku Award. We are really proud of him and the work that he does musically and personally performing at hospitals and various charities.

We will be releasing a single recording from Herb Ohta, Jr. on June 7th. It is Lele Music’s and Herb’s first ever single release. We are not manufacturing CD’s for this particular recording. This will only be available in digital MP3 format for download. Lele Music Productions’ website is offering this song… not as a download but having the song emailed to you. Here is a sample of the single titled, “Nalu”. Hope you like it!

1) What kind of songs do you want Herb Ohta, Jr. to record next to start of his next 20 years? All Hawaiian? A mix of Contemporary and Hawaiian? All Contemporary?

2) What do you all think about a recording with his father Ohta-san instead of another solo release?

3) What about a compilation of Hawaiian Slack-key, ‘ukulele, and vocals from different artists honoring Hawaiian musicians of the past that have inspired the musicians of today?
